Opt out

How a person stops being asked, and what each method can honestly cover.

There are three ways, and they cover different ground. None of them involves an account, and none of them identifies anyone.

In the app that askedper app
The check-in’s own "don’t ask me again". Writes a flag on your origin, which is the only storage a check-in inside your app can read.
On Moyo’s own pagesper browser
Stops any check-in Moyo hosts on that browser, including one opened from an email link.
By emaileverywhere
The only method that follows a person between devices. The address is stored as a one-way hash.

Why there is no single device switch

The opt out page is on Moyo’s origin and a check-in runs on yours, and every current browser keeps site storage separate between the two. Bridging them would take a cross-site identifier or fingerprint matching — the two things this product refuses to build. We cannot remember someone across other apps, because remembering them would mean identifying them.

The SDK checks what it can reach before it asks for anything, so an opted-out person generates no request at all.
